Final Workshop: Innovation Strategies for System level transformation

The third and final Workshop in our series, entitled “Learning and Recommendations”, took place on 16 May 2024. Organised by the project team collaboration between EPRC and the School of Innovation and Technology at the Glasgow School of Art, with funding support from the Scottish Universities Insight Institute (SUII), the third workshop was a culmination of earlier discussions on how to drive economic and wider social/environmental change through innovative policy approaches.

Building upon the insights gained from the previous workshops, the aim of this final event was to synthesise learnings to identify commonalities and differences, best practice, gaps in knowledge and opportunities for future collaboration.

The Workshop included participants from key stakeholders including policy makers, funding bodies, innovation centre, researchers and cluster organisations from Scotland but also Sweden, Denmark and the Basque Country. There was rich discussion around the emerging key factors influencing genuine system level change. This acted as the basis for consideration of active responses from each participant in their area of influence as well as opportunities for collaborations moving forward.

Results of the three Workshop process will be disseminated in a variety of ways – more information to follow!
