The Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) Programme is a well-established, widely supported transnational Interreg cooperation programme. The 2021-2027 Programme covers territories in 7 partner countries, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Faroe Islands and Greenland. The programme, and its predecessors, has a strong focus on, in particular, the needs of remote and peripheral communities and capitalising on territorial strengths and change, including the adoption of new digital and sustainable technologies. EPRC is working with the team drafting the 2021-2027  programme. EPRC’s work; provides an independent base of information and analysis as a resource for defining the future focus of the Programme; and supports Programme decision-making and content development (including in the development of the strategy, elaboration of the intervention logic and priorities). Key outputs are an area analysis of the Programme area, on going ad hoc briefings and participation in programme planning meetings, and inputs into the development of the programmes performance framework.
